Follow is the rating system that was developed for Family Webcomics to classify the comic listed on this site.

The rating indicates the age group that is safe to view the comic, not who the strip is tailored for. It is possible, for example, to produce a strip aimed at adults but which is safe for children to read.

WC-G (Equivalent to MPAA "G") General Audience - For the most part this comic is safe for even small children. There is no overt violence (only mild slapstick and comedic violence), no profanity, objectionable behavior is not endorsed, etc. Adult situations are not discussed. The art does not depict anything that would be overly scary or disturbing to a child.

WC-7 (Equivalent to MPAA "PG") Strips in this category would be safely viewable by a child 7 or older. The content might be a little intense for younger/preschool children.

WC-10 (Equivalent to MPAA "PG") Strips in this category would be safely viewable by a child 10 or older. Strips may contain more serious content, such as pronounced violence, language, and involved storylines, which may not be suitable for younger children.

WC-14 (Equivalent to MPAA "PG-13") Strips in this category would be safely viewable by a child 14 or older (typically high-schoolers). More mature subject matters may be discussed, as well as depicting graphic images that might be inappropriate or disturbing for younger viewers.

WC-M (Equivalent to MPAA "R") A strip with this rating would be for mature audiences, meaning 18 or older. FamilyWebcomics.com does not accept listings for this rating.

WC-X (Equivalent to MPAA "X") A strip with this rating would be for mature audiences, and depicts overtly graphic nudity, sexual acts, and explicit violence and gore. FamilyWebcomics.com does not accept listings for this rating.
