Abusive Behavior: We want all of our members to enjoy their experience
on our site. We ask that our members respect each other and refrain from any
activity that might be offensive or disruptive to others. Please review the

Registration: A User Account is required to access "member-only" features of the site, including webcomic listing creation and profile features such as comic favorites and friend lists. To register as a new member, click on the "Register" link and complete the form. You must provide us with a valid email address, which will be used for account verification, request for lost password, as well as allowing the system to send you notification when there is activity on your user profile and/or comic listing. We do not share your email address with anyone. You can update your personal information after you register from the My Account link in your menu.

Profile Creation/Editing: Upon successful registration, you will need to log-in to the system. Once you log-in, you will see a link on your Control Panel which will allow you to create a profile. You do not need to create a profile right away, however without a Profile, some site features will not be available to you. When you are finished creating your Profile, you will have your very own URL on our site that you can share with friends. To edit your profile, simply click on the "Edit My Profile" link on your Control Panel and follow the same procedure. Note: when creating/updating a Profile, keep in mind that this is a family-friendly site. Links to site containing mature content are a violation of our Terms of Service and will be removed without notice.

Comic Submissions: Due to the nature of our site, we require that all listings be submitted by the owner of a webcomic (i.e. creator/artist/writer). In order to have your webcomic listing appear on our site, you must first register a user account. Once you are logged-in, a link to "Submit A Comic Listing" will appear on your Control Panel. Click on the link and fill-out the form. Note that you will need to provide us with several graphics for your listing--failure to do so will delay or disallow your listing on our site. Note that all webcomic listings on our site much have no more than a WC-14 rating (equivalent to a PG-13 rating). Your listing may not contain explicit graphics, language, or other objectionable material. Once your comic listing has been submitted, it will be reviewed by one of our staff members. Upon approval, your comic listing will be placed on the site. If your comic is denied, you will be sent an email notifying you of our decision and the reasoning for same. The final decision whether or not to list a comic on this site is at the sole discretion of the webmasters.

Comic Listings: Our hope with FamilyWebcomics is not only to be a listing site, but to create a community where creators, parents, educators, and individuals can gather in the hopes of promoting and supporting family-friendly content. When your comic is listed on our site, it will receive an enhanced comic profile page. This will include: 1) system which allows users to rate your comic, 2) a comments box where users can leave you messages, 3) a news blog where you can update community members as to what's going on with your comic, and 4) a fans list showing all of the individuals who have favorited your comic through FWC. As a listing owner, you have control over the various aspects of your listing. These can be accessed through the control panel.

Login Trouble: If you have lost your password or login name, click on the Lost Password link and the system will email you your login information. This process may take a few minutes. If you do not get the email right away, you may check your spam folder. If you still have problems getting the email, be sure your email system is not blocking messages from us.
Your login and password are case-sensitive. When you change your password, you must log-out and log-in again using your new information. Due to issues some systems have with cookies, if you find that you are entering the correct information but the program will not log you in, click this link and try again.

Friends You can make friends with other Members by clicking on the icon on their Profile Page or next to their name in search results. When you click the icon, the Member will receive a message in their in-box inviting them to be your friend on the site. If they accept, they will show on your Profile under "My Friends" and you on theirs. When you receive a friends invitation, click on My Friends in the main menu to accept or decline. The My Friends page also lists all of your current friends with the option to remove the friendship
relationship. When a friend invitation is accepted, you will know when they appear on your Profile page. If an invitation is declined, no notice is sent. Since some Members don't login every day, wait a while before re-sending a friend request.

Pictures: When you first create your profile, a default picture will appear. You may upload pictures as long as you are logged in by clicking the link below it. Each member may upload up to 3 pictures in gif or jpg format to compliment their profile. The best size is around 400x400
pixels. Use the upload tool to upload your pictures. If you already have 3 pictures, the tool will ask you to delete a picture and then proceed with the upload. Your file should be less than 400KB in size. When your
photo is uploaded, you will see it displayed full size with a link below to return to your profile. The picture will be a uniform size on your page, but when a visitor clicks it, the photo will open in a pop-up full size! A reminder that pictures uploaded to the site must adhere to our Terms of Service. Any pictures containing objectionable content, advertisement, or links to adult-natured sites will be removed without further notice.
When you are logged in and you click on My Pictures below your picture, you will see a Delete button and a Default button. Your default picture is the one that appears on your main Profile Page and has a blue border. You can change the default picture by clicking on the Default button below a different picture.
